Invitation From the Chairman

On behalf of myself and the Committee Members of the Arts & Crafts Fair, we'd like to personally thank you for your interest in exhibiting in the 2008 annual Fair.  It is, indeed, a great event that has become a tradition in Hot Springs and surrounding areas.  Total vendors and attendance make this one of the largest juried Arts & Craft Fairs in the State.

The Fair is sponsored by the Garland County Extension Homemakers Council and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, and is held at the Garland County Fairgrounds in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The Arts & Crafts Fair is always held on the first full weekend of October each year, therefore, dates for the 2008 event will be October 3,4, and 5th.  Please mark this on your calendar.

Our fairground is located at 4831 Malvern Rd. which is Hwy. 270E from Hot Springs going toward Malvern, AR. There are signs at the front entrance of the fairground. For more explicit driving instructions, please refer to page ( 5 ) of this website. 

If you wish to be considered for an exhibit space, please read our Rules and Regulations on page ( 2 ) then print out and complete our application on page ( 3 ) and mail it to Peggy Barnett.  The address is provided at the top of the application .  Please do not send payment when you mail your application!  Payment is not expected from exhibitors until their crafts have been juried and officially approved by our committee.

After your application is received, it will be reviewed by the Fair Screening Committee and, if approved, you will receive a written invitation giving you the date, time, and place to bring your items to have them juried.  Applicants living within 50 miles of Hot Springs will be expected to bring their items to the monthly jury meeting.  If you live outside of this radius, you may send pictures or slides, however, it is essential that the pictures or slides be close-ups, clear, and of good quality.  Full descriptions are also essential.  It would be to your advantage to have your crafts personally viewed by our Arts & Crafts committee.  If you send pictures and wish to have them returned, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
